Five years....Will see you again...
Tick, tick, tick it is here yet again. It can't be five years, the memories of that day will never fade. Trying this year to erase those memories and replace them with good ones. Your babies are growing, they talk about you all the time. Jaycie often cries for you, especially at night. Try to reassure her that you are still with her and that she will see you again. Grabs me in the gut to listen to her cry. I will never understand the reason and in heaven it probably will never cross my mind to ask. I will be so glad to hold you again. Every day places me one closer to that day. Love you my baby boy. I know you are so happy and you are whole and finally free, for that I am thankful.
34 today!
I miss you so much!
- Chicken strips and macaroni and cheese!
- Top of the stove cookies-no chocolate!
- Tie Dye everything!
- Always smiling and upbeat despite circumstances where you were down!
- Dancing in place to Techno music!
- Liking the same music as me-born in the wrong decade-your words!
Happy birthday Justin!!!!!
Good memories....
- Beautiful baby boy-dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, 8 lbs. 14 ounces....True love!
- Bounced out of your crib and landed on your feet...So shocked!
- Hospitalized for croup, had to stay under the croup tent with you to get you to stay...rang the emergency light in the bathroom...loved all the attention that got!
- Pooh bear was your buddy!
- First laceration when Bucky the wonder horse went one way and you went the other...stitches ouch!
- Moved to North Little Rock....just you and Momma....kindergarten!!!
- Lost your first tooth biting on a tupperware cup lid...had to convince you to let me pull it because you thought you wouldn't get another tooth...amazed that the tooth fairy was real!!!!
- Played soccer and just had to have all white shoes....first game positioned yourself in the middle of the biggest mud puddle on the field and had the best time just stomping your feet....shoes never white again...lol!
- Momma started teaching Lamaze childbirth classes....you were dang good at imitating that breathing!!
The Army-Proud part of Justin's Story
Yesterday was the 4th of July, it brings memories to my mind of when you were in the Army. You were so proud of yourself and we were proud of you too. You worked so hard and you did it. I remember you called me from Kentucky when you arrived in snowy January, you were sick with fever and strep. Cried for me to come get you. I remember when I sent you goodies and you had to do pushups for every cookie you ate, share with your sargent but you said it was worth it. I remember you were so physically fit and the healthiest you probably ever were. Even though all things didn't work out the experience was a good one in the end. Love you, miss you beyond measure.
